What is it?:

It’s an anaesthetic that’s used in human and animal medicine

How’s it used?:

It’s usually snorted as a white powder

What does it do?:

• Euphoria

• Out of body experience (K Hole). Some people have likened the K hole to an unpleasant near death experience. The effects can be unreliable and confusing

Effects may last for up to about two hours and may remain in your system for around three hours.

The down side:

• The K Hole

• Feeling paralysed. This can be distressing

The ‘small quantity’ amount for ketamine is 2.5g.

How to reduce the harm:

Do not mix with alcohol. Check in with friends to see how they are going when they are using K
